Our facility has manufactured sterile CTM for parenteral (IV, IM, SC) and ophthalmic (intravitreal and topical) administration. We’ve incorporated both small molecules and biologics into the solutions. Our procedures allow us to accommodate a range of primary packaging and we have produced CTM in the following formats:
- Vials: 2 – 200 mL
- Ophthalmic droptainers: 2 – 10 mL
- Nasal cartridges
- Syringes: 1 – 10 mL
We are very flexible regarding primary packaging and will accommodate the clients’ specific requirements.
Since many of the nano and coarse suspensions are not amenable to terminal sterilization, we have designed and built a proprietary high energy, aseptic nanomill. This allows us to provide this unique service to our clients. This technology is also scalable and suitable for commercial manufacturing. We have plans on installing larger scale aseptic nanomilling equipment.
Our facility has several lyophilizers, including several R&D bench-top units, a pilot scale lyophilizer docked into one of our cleanrooms (suitable for both non-sterile and sterile products), and a 120 sq. ft. commercial unit equipped with CIP/SIP. We have experience developing complex lyophilized products starting with nanosuspensions and suspension formulations.
For drug products amenable to terminal sterilization, we have qualified vendors that provide terminal heat, gamma irradiation, and e-beam sterilization. Our vendors have been audited and used to support many GMP campaigns. This allows us to offer a one-stop shop to our clients.
